Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Who’s the fairest of them all?
Please Do not reflect the wrinkles on my face
Or extra pounds I try to carry with grace
Help me like myself just the way I am today
And shed the negative thoughts that come my way
For I am more than the body image you see;
I am happy in my skin and that sets me free.
So, mirror, mirror on the wall,
I’m going to stand straight and tall
And ask that you reflect my inward soul
Beyond the ageing that’s taking it’s toll
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Please reflect, when I come to call
The truths that you know about me,
Beyond the wrinkles that you now see.
For youth is just a moment in time and space;
And years pass by at such an alarming pace.
Just reflect beyond the wrinkles, the real me
And let others see thie same reflection I see.

Good one, thanks.
Applause!
I loved this Fran. I've never seen what others see when I look in the mirror. We are all our own worst critic. I love the fact you're comfortable in your own skin. You are a woman of grace.
Your poem is inspiring, Fran, and I totally agree with Brianna, you're a woman of grace.
Hi Fran.
