Every few days my husband, Jim gets an e-mail that is circulating over and over. This particular acquaintance from a few years back always sends these e-mails that are about Barak Obama. I have spent hours searching for the truth.
This is the one he received today:
" I am one of them ", Obama.
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tCAffMSWSzY#t=28 My opinion about this speech is that President Obama is telling us that all Muslims are not terrorists. (After 911, some Americans were beginning to hate all Muslims.) Indeed, it was an educational speech that hopefully helps us to rise from ignorance. I personally think it is a good thing that Obama has a versified religious education that would help him understand other countries and their religions.
E-mail from this same person a few weeks ago, basically was the same subject. The e-mail said that Obama was a Muslim and therefore would not recite the pledge of allegiance. Snoop.com stated that there is no evidence that he has been reared Moslem. Obama’s father was Agnostic or Atheist and his mother prided herself in teaching him about all kinds of religions, in order to give him a well-rounded religious education. Their home had a Bible, a Koran and a Bhavagad Gita, and books about Norse and African Mythology.
A photograph was captured in which President Obama did not have his hand over his heart, as other people did. It turns out that the Pledge of Allegiance was not being recited. In fact, the Star Spangled Banner was being played.
In summary, whether you like Obama or don’t like him or if you voted for him or didn’t vote for him, the swirling e-mails filled with lies are getting tiresome. I think these people who originate these tales need to use their creativeness for other purposes.
Truth doesn't necessarily come in an e-mail.
