My Techi Man Is Good (I am Tech-Challenged) But Please Give Me Your Opinion On My Web Site

Don’t misunderstand me. It is wonderful to be married to a techi-guy (I will refer to him as TG). It truly is. However, because he is so anxious to solve any tech problem, it leaves me technology-challenged. Well, I guess if he doesn’t mind that I am “technology-challenged,” I guess I really don’t mind. After all, I was never that interested in solving those kinds of problems to begin with. I am impatient and bored and TG is like a character of Mission Impossible, which means he will not let go until the problem is figured out.
Then I came to the realization that something was wrong. When I would type the adress in at top where address goes, I would get my site, but when I typed it in through Yahoo search engine, I could not get my site. When I typed it in through Google's search engine, I would get my site. To sum it up, when I go through Google, I get my site but when I go through Yahoo, I cannot get my site. Here is my site:

When I wrote Simple Site a letter explaining this, they sent me the following letter:
Dear Francine Larson
Thank you for your mail.
We can see your website without any problems on our screens.
Your problems may be caused by using an old or wrong browser. It should be Internet Explorer in version 5.5 or later to work optimally with SimpleSite. You can see you version of Internet Explorer by going to "Help": "About Internet Explorer". If your Internet Explorer is too old, you can get a new version free from Microsoft by using Windows Update on http://update.microsoft.comRememember to always follow the guides and advice from Microsoft when updating Windows software.
If it's not the browser version, you problems may be caused by wrong settings or some malfunctioning temporary files. Try to follow these directions for adjusting it and see if it helps:
Adjust your standard Internet Explorer settings:

You may also try to temporarily disble security sofware such as antivirus, spyware detection, firewall etc. to see if that make a difference.
Best regards,
Michelle from SimpleSite.com
I need to tell you that I have to use Mozella because of my local provider.
TG tried it on all 3 of our computers and the same thing happened. TG came to the conclusion that Yahoo simply would not recognize my site. This is way above my head, but TG said I needed to give up and get my money back. If anyone on SW has a helpful suggestion or idea, please let me know. (TG would not mind – he is good, but not a genius!)
Well, anyway, TG worked on that problem quite a bit and the conclusion he came up with makes some sense, but don’t know how this company could be successful without Yahoo in the game. Did google just “take over?” Can they do that? This is a Scandinavian company.
This isn’t what I set out to write about, but I know so many of you out there are also Techi-Men, so thought maybe you could weight in on your thoughts about this. As you could see, I am very technologically challenged. For me, this is such a big thing!
I really meant to tell you what a great guy Jim is and that he is always helping me with my tech problems. (I will write another article about him) However, for this problem, I would love to have another opinion.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Fran, you did an awesome job. Don't go doubting yourself. I enjoyed what you have done so far and am anxious to see what else you can come up with. I was 297 when I went on your site and it was up to 299 in no time at all. You're getting people coming right and left I assume since you've only just put your site up. So hang tight. By the way, I use Firefox (Mozilla). When I sign out I'll try back through Yahoo and also Google. This time, when I went in, I used your link for expediency. PS--I used your guest book and put in a bubble. Too cute.
I had to smile when I read your article as I am technically challenged as well and have flip flopped about creating a website, got started and stopped many times for many reasons. What struck me funny was the name SimpleSite. I gathered from your article it was anything but simple with all of the instructions you were emailed. Regardless Fran, I checked it out! It looks awesome! I think you should be very proud of your site and I very much enjoyed reading the quotes. Good job!
I like your website. Its pretty and delicate and your little collection of quotes are inspiring sending loving energies to the ones who read them. Great job, be proud.
I also have a site for anyone who dares to peek. It's looks like a large book.
so peek if you must. http://www.believer-in-truth.webs.com
