My 3 Wishes That Will Actually Come True Some Day, But I Hope It Is Not Too Soon

If I could have three wishes, my first one would be something that is short of impossible. I would wish that I could browse through time. I would travel back to the past, then spring to the future.
Richard, from Peggy Sue Got Married introduced me to the theory, Richard’s Burrito.
My own theory, based on a Mexican food called the burrito.
- I had one at Disneyland. - I know what a burrito is!
You see, I think that time is like a burrito...
...in the sense that one part of itself will fold over...
...and it will just touch the other part.
- Peggy Sue: What's inside? –
Richard: You can fill it with whatever you want.
You can fill it with memories, with experiences, trigonometry. Anything.
Peggy Sue: Then you think that time travel is possible for people?
Richard: Yes, It is possible.
I would visit with loved ones who have passed on. I miss my parents so very much and it would be the one of the happiest days of my life if I could just talk to them again.
Like Peggy Sue, I would have fun in seeing the future and telling the world things that are going to happen.
Peggy Sue: I know a lot of things that are gonna happen.
There's gonna be test-tube babies and heart transplants.
An American...
...named Neil Armstrong will be the first man to walk on the moon.
My second wish would be to have a conversation with God. I would like to know why some people have to suffer so much and why there is so much anger in the world. I would especially like to know why some things happened to me, even though I tried to live by the rules and prayed about decisions. Why was I blocked with each new beginning? I know someday I will know the answer and it would have all been for my good, but I sure would like to know some answers now. If I knew what I was doing wrong, I could correct it, but maybe that has nothing to do with it. Maybe it just is what it is.
My 3rd wish is a cliché that is pronounced by Miss America Contestants, but it is meaningful for me. I would wish for world peace. I would wish there would be no wars, nor rumors of wars, no need for guns, no fear of others, no evil.
As I conclude this article, it just dawned on me that all of these three wishes would come true the day I die. I will have something to look forward to when that day comes. Hopefully, these wishes will not come true for a few years yet.

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)What a cool article. Full of heart and hope. There is a smiling kind of whimsy, and yet its about a "heavy" idea. Lovely. Yours, CUF
What gives with a few years. How about 40 years at least before your wishes will all come true? Think grand! Nice article, as always, Fran and well said.
