The program on January 25th began by showing contestants what appeared to be a roomful of pizzas, desserts, Chinese food, fried chicken and more. Everyone resisted the temptation to eat these foods except Arthur. He ate one chicken leg (fried). It was 150 calories. Since he was the only one who indulged, he was allowed to choose a team and send them to the “unknown trainers.” The team chosen was green, Jay and Jennifer (father and daughter). They decided to approach it as a learning experience.

Jillian tells twin (Don) he is a liar and also doesn’t know how to feel any emotion, such as anger. She asked him to express his anger, so he went on a mild tangent. I wasn’t impressed. Don’s twin was sent home last week. Both of the twins not only did not lose weight, they each gained 9 pounds.

Courtney talked to Jillian about her relationship with her mother, Marcy. Jillian told her that parent’s intentions to help sometimes come off as a disappointment. Also said Marcy and Courtney need to talk this out. Courtney does have a heart to heart talk with her Mom and it was a huge success. (Marcy had felt responsible for Courtney’s weight and consequently brought it up repeatedly).

The challenge was the green team against the on-campus team. The challenge involved pulling a rope that would allow them to hoist numbers up on a sign that was around 100 feet high. The numbers would represent calorie amount for certain foods. Allison told the contestants that the winning team would get to receive letters from home. The winners were the on-campus team.

The on-campus team members received their letters from home and were very emotional but happy to hear from their loved ones.
