When I was about 10 years old, I was invited to a friend's home to bake cookies. I remember there were several of us that day. I also remember how patient and kind the friend's mother was as she guided us giddy little girls in a cookie making frenzy.
The name of the cookie was "Cherry Winks." I think I remembered it because it tasted so divine and was topped with a half cherry . It just melted in my mouth. It has always been in the back of my mind to find the recipe and bake the cookies.
