Are You Stuck In The Past, Frozen In Time? How To Move On From Sad Experiences

My friends are all asking why I have cut down on my social activities. I haven’t been to line dancing, Mah Johnn or even Bunco. I don’t really have a good answer. I just needed more time to myself, I suppose. I need to drink my coffee and look at the birds singing and eating from the Chinaberry Tree.
Maybe I am still grieving over a recent death and other changes in my life. I can’t deny feeling sad and pensive, although able to cope with it. Life is changing really fast and sometimes it is like being on a Merry-Go-Round. One needs to just stop the ride and take a breather.
King James Bible
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19)
New American Standard Bible (©1995)
" Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.(Isaiah 43:19)
The more I open myself up for new experiences, the more unexpected things happen. In the last couple of days I have visited with 2 separate individuals who needed my friendship. As I reach out to comfort them, my own comfort emerges. I know that they also are experiencing big changes and grief in their lives.
The changes in life push us all forward. We reluctantly want to stay in our comfortable place that was a happy time for us. We hesitate to move forward, even as we are being pushed into an unknown future and unknown territory.
I invite you my dear readers to come along with me on this unknown path and embrace “new things” God has promised. This is how we will move on from our sad experiences.
God asks us, “ Will you not be aware of it?”
“ I will do something new.”
