Recently, I entered a contest that consisting of describing Faith in the form of poetry. I really had to give it some thought. All my life I have known about faith and talked about faith. However, other questions came to my mind. Does everyone have Faith and if so, some people apparently have more than others.
Having faith in God and God’s plan is not always easy, when life throws unexpected and sad things our way. Sometimes we feel so hopeless, we even ask for Faith to have Faith.
Faith
Faith is a vision of something
You cannot really see.
It is wish, a dream
That trumps all reality.
Faith is hard to catch
When life is cruel and vain.
But it comes, just in time
Like a torrent of unexpected rain.
Sometimes, it fades in and out,
Like a lighthouse beam;
And sheds just enough light
So we can see to follow our dream.
Faith is only as small
As a mustard seed?
And yet life is bearable only
When we believe.
Can the essence of Faith
Really be defined?
A tiny seed of hope
Implanted in our mind?
