Do you feel inside you an urge to tell a story or give an opinion? Have you always dreamed of being a writer but voices told you it is just a pipe dream? A Pipe Dream is a plan, desire, or idea that will not likely work; a near impossibility (from en.wikitionary.org)
I am here to tell you that your desire to be a writer is not just a pipe dream. The reality is that if you have talent and are willing to take the time to write, it will happen. Learning to write happens when you write. The more you write, the better and more confident you become.
After my book was published, for about 3 years I began feeling discouraged about my writing. Negative thoughts began to pop up in my mind. I felt gloomy and somewhat depressed about the whole thing.
How could I ever know for sure that I had any talent and could really be a writer?
Then I began writing articles. If I thought I had something to say or a story to tell, I would post it on SearchWarp. When I first began doing this, I mainly did it to get referrals for my web site and consequently sell my book, " Character Keys To A Bright Future", which I had co-authored.
As time went by, I spent less time developing my web site and more time writing articles. Sometimes my articles would even appear on the front page of SearchWarp. I was both delighted and surprised! Then I began to get comments from other writers about my articles. (SearchWarp is made up of delightful caring and honest writers who are most helpful). SearchWarp confirmed in my mind that I was a writer and that I did have talent.
The more I write for SearchWarp, the more confidant I am. I have had some exciting things happen in my writing career since I began. No, I don't have a best seller, but thanks to SearchWarp, I am progressing and developing my skills. I now have the courage to send my work to be published. Recently, I sent an article to Trains Magazine , at their request! How exciting is that?
If you are at all interested in writing, I encourage you to join our SearchWarp community. We are all ready to cheer you on and give you encouragement and ideas. Remember, the more you write, the better you become.
The on-line friendships I have made on SearchWarp are a bonus that I did not expect. They are truly part of my desire to write. Fredrich Nietzsche said, "A good writer possesses not only his own spirit but also the spirit of his friends."
