Since time began, a woman's hair has been a symbol for her; a symbol of being feminine and feeling pretty. The Bible even refers to hair as a "crowning glory" for a woman.
The hair is the richest ornament of women. ~Martin Luther
Hair brings one's self-image into focus; it is vanity's proving ground. Hair is terribly personal, a tangle of mysterious prejudices. ~Shana Alexander
If your hair doesn't look good, it doesn't matter how expensive or beautiful your outfit is, you just don't feel pretty. We want our hair to move and sway; we also want it to be beautiful and shiny.
Recently, I have been ignoring my hair and the result is an oily, fine mess. So now, I am getting back on track and doing some of the things that were taught to me by a hairdresser.
Life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you find a hair stylist you like. ~Author Unknown
Here are three tips to insure beautiful shiny hair at a minimum cost.
. The first couple of times use about ½ cup of straight baking soda. After that, you can mix it with your shampoo. The reason for using soda is that shampoo often does not get down to the hair shaft. Shampoos that we buy over the counter have many chemicals in them, so your hair needs a good cleanse every now and then with soda. Also, by doing this, you will get oily hair at bay and even prevent your hair from thinning.
2. Wash and rinse your hair with cold water
This will close the pores and cut down on the oiliness. Also, will give your hair more of a shine. Hot water is very damaging for your hair.
3. For beautiful highlights, use lemon juice.
Measure 1 tablespoon of lemon juice per cup of cold water (after your shampoo). This will lighten your hair (just like Grandma used to tell us). To make your hair even lighter, sit out in the sun about 15 minutes before you rinse your hair with clear water. Your highlights will have a more natural look and you can gradually get your hair lighter each time you wash it.
Beautiful hair will always be the thing that makes a woman feel desirable and pretty.
In the romance department, it doesn't hurt to have beautiful hair, as described by Bo Goodman:
Women.... Who made 'em? God must have been a... genius. Their hair. They say that the hair is everything, you know? Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls, and just wanted to go to sleep forever? ~Bo Goldman, "The Start of an Education,"made popular by the movie Scent of a Woman
