There is something about creating something that brings a feeling of fulfillment and pleasure. It gives you something to look forward to after you finish with your obligations for the day.
Crafts also serve as aiding our mental health. Develop a hobby or passion for your mind to express its emotions and joys for the mind. For example, the body needs exercise and a means to channel its energy. This is one of the five life coping skills.(Wikihow)
According to Robert Reiner, Ph.D., a New York University psychologist and the study's author, the findings prove what crafters already know: Crafts de-stress.
"The act of performing a craft is incompatible with worry, anger, obsession and anxiety," he says. "As a psychologist, for me to help someone I work with, I need to be as well balanced as I can be," he says. "To do the best I can for my family, I need to be relaxed, I need to be centered. If hobbies provide that much-needed centering and relaxation, then you're more available to the people you love and work with." Everyone in the family should have hobbies, he adds.
"It's very healthy for children to have hobbies," he says. While it's not uncommon for children to pick up on their parents' hobbies, they should be exposed to a variety of interests so they can pick up their own., he adds. Here is a craft project that doesn't take too long. Children will also enjoy participating in this wine bottle craft. .

1. Drill a hole on the lower side ( close to the bottom) of the bottle.
You will probably have to purchase a special drill (for glass) at some place like Home Depot.
2. Fill with a 20 count mini light strand, them marbles. (Removing the wine label is optional)
Mini lights are hard to find. We ordered them on the internet.
3. At the top, put rubber grapes ( red grapes for red wine, etc.) with a nice ribbon
Actually, you can be creative and put flowers, in place of the grapes. You can also purchase "rub-ons" at a craft store to put on the outside of your wine bottle.
They make great gifts! And cost next to nothing to make.
t is well that we have hobbies and crafts, not only do they give a sense of purpose but they have a purpose of themselves, too. (by Phyllis George)
