We heard Tiger Woods say that he regrets his transgressions and reminds us that he is human. However, he never mentioned a subject that I think should be at the core of his regrets. It is so casually left out, it leaves me to wonder. Here is what Tiger said:
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Even though Tiger proclaims himself as a private person, one would think that the love for his family would be the prime thought in his mind. Rather, it seems from his statement, he is more concerned about what we think about his family values.
Having other sexual partners may be good for a thrill or a few minutes of pleasure or it may even boost one's ego, but ultimately, it will not fill your soul without true love. As a matter of fact, I think it will make you feel even emptier, as you realize that sex without love is meaningless.
I know some of you may be smirking and saying, "Is she for real?" I realize I may be in the minority, but I will stand by what I believe.
Isn't this what we all want true love?
I hope Tiger truly loves his wife. I hope we hear him say those words.
Benjamin Disraeli (British Prime Minister and Politician 1804-1881) said: The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but reveal to them their own.
